For the first time in 54 years, The Beatles have a number-one single in the UK chart with what’s being called their last-ever single, “Now and Then.” According to the Official Charts Company on Friday, the “Fab Four” claimed the top spot just eight days after the song’s release. “Now and Then” was originally recorded by John Lennon at home in 1977. George Harrison, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr later worked on the song in the early 1990s but it was only last year that it was completed, using artificial intelligence. The Beatles now hold the record for the biggest gap between number 1 singles.
